Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary
A Small Sanctuary with Rich Diversity
About Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary
Located close to Gorumara National Park, Chapramari is a smaller wildlife sanctuary known for its dense forests and significant population of elephants. The name comes from 'Chapra', a variety of small fish, and 'Mari', meaning 'plenty'. A watchtower near the salt lick provides excellent opportunities for viewing elephants, gaur (Indian bison), and various birds.
