The Dooars region in the Himalayan foothills is a paradise for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. It's home to several national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, including Gorumara and Jaldapara, which are famous for their large populations of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros.

Suggested Itineraries

Day 1

NJP/Bagdogra to Lataguri

Arrive at NJP/Bagdogra and transfer to Lataguri (2 hours). Evening jeep safari in Gorumara National Park.

Day 2

Gorumara Exploration

Morning visit to Jatraprasad Watchtower. Explore Murti riverbank. Post-lunch, visit another watchtower like Chandrachur.

Day 3

Lataguri to Jaldapara

Drive to Jaldapara (2 hours). Check into a resort. Evening jeep safari in the western range of the park.

Day 4

Jaldapara Safari

Early morning elephant safari for rhino sightings. Later, visit South Khayerbari Nature Park (Leopard Rescue Centre).

Day 5

Departure

After breakfast, depart for NJP/Bagdogra for your onward journey.
