Jorasanko Thakurbari

The ancestral home of the Tagore family, Jorasanko Thakurbari is where the polymath and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore was born and spent much of his life. Now a museum and a campus of Rabindra Bharati University, it offers a deep insight into the life and times of this influential family and the Bengal Renaissance.

The museum galleries display a vast collection of paintings, manuscripts, and personal belongings of the Tagore family.
